On Friday night at the annual Swan Valley Show we were thrilled to collect a trophy for the Best Shiraz of the Show for our 2015 Shiraz.

This wine was judged against all shiraz classes, including blends and any vintage.

It was a great triumph for a small winery like us - who makes the wine ourselves exclusively from our own fruit - to receive this award against strong competitors like Houghtons and Mandoon.

Bravo Aldersyde!

Fingers-crossed the weather is as glorious as it has been for the past week.

We finished pruning on the weekend and are looking forward to celebrating the end of winter and the start of spring with a big bonfire bang!

As usual, we will provide bread rolls, salads, sausages, tea/coffee, some sweets etc but we'd appreciate you bringing some extra meat or a plate to share if you're coming with a group as we are never sure of numbers on the day. We would hate for some people to miss out!

Please also bring a picnic blanket or deck chairs, or whatever you'd prefer to sit on .. or not.

It's still too far our for a weather report, but keep an eye on this blog for any updates.

WHAT TO BRING: meat or a plate if you're coming for the BBQ, warm clothes, fold up chairs or picnic rug
